Wind aux Îles attaches great importance to the protection of your personal information. This policy explains what information we collect, why, how it is protected, and the rights granted to you by Quebec's personal information protection law (Law 25).

Information Collected
During a booking: your name, email, phone number, an emergency contact, your skill level, and the chosen activity.
When signing the waiver: your name (electronic signature), the date and time of the signature, as well as the IP address and browser used. These elements are used to prove what was signed, by whom, and when.
During payment: the transaction is processed by a secure payment processor. Wind aux Îles does not see or store your card number.
If you sign up for the newsletter: your email, with your explicit consent. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in each email.
Use of Your Information
This information is used solely to manage your booking, communicate with you about it, ensure your safety during the activity, comply with our legal obligations and, with your consent, send you our newsletter. It is never sold.
Audience Measurement
The site uses Plausible, a cookie-free audience measurement tool that only collects aggregated and anonymous data. No individual profiles are created.
Data Hosting
Our website and booking system rely on recognized technology providers (payment, hosting, emailing). Some information may therefore be stored outside of Quebec. We only retain providers who offer adequate contractual and security protections.
Retention and security
Your information is retained for as long as necessary for the purposes described above and to comply with our legal obligations, then deleted. Communication with the site and the reservation system is encrypted (HTTPS), access to data is limited to the school team, and administration accounts are protected by individual passwords.
Your rights
You can at any time consult the information we hold about you, have it corrected, withdraw your consent or request its deletion by writing to info@windauxiles.ca. We will respond within a maximum of 30 days.
Privacy Incident
If an incident involving your personal information presents a risk of serious injury, we would notify you, as well as the Commission d’accès à l’information, in accordance with the law.
